What it is

PRX Plus is WiQo's next-generation biorevitalizing peel treatment that stimulates fibroblasts and collagen synthesis in the deep skin layers, without superficial peeling or social downtime.

Mechanism of action

Ammonium Trichloroacetate (ATCA) 33% combined with Homocysteic acid (HoA) 2% — a molecule not found in any other cosmetic or medical device product on the market — stimulates NMDA receptors in the epidermis and upper dermis for a gentler, more superficial effect than PRX-T33. Citric acid/phytic acid rounds out the formula, supporting a smoother, more even skin tone with minimal downtime.

Indications and treatment areas

Skin revitalization, uneven tone, visible pores, excess sebum production and early signs of aging. Face, neck, décolletage, hands and body.

Treatment protocol

  • Application: topical, massaged into the skin — no needles or injections.

What is PRX-T33 Plus and how does it differ from a normal chemical peel?

PRX-T33 Plus is a biorevitalizing peeling solution where H₂O₂ neutralizes TCA in the superficial skin layers while TCA penetrates deeper and stimulates the fibroblasts. This gives the biostimulating and collagen-stimulating effect of a 33% TCA peel without the classic 7–14 day peeling period. Patients can return to normal life immediately after treatment.

How does H₂O₂ work in combination with TCA?

Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) has a dual role: it neutralizes the TCA activity in the epidermis, preventing intense superficial peeling, while oxygenating the tissue so TCA can penetrate deeper to the dermis where fibroblast stimulation takes place.

What does the 5% kojic acid do in the formulation?

Kojic acid inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme needed for melanin production. It helps correct existing pigment spots and prevent new hyperpigmentation, making PRX-T33 Plus effective for sun spots, melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Can PRX-T33 Plus be used on the body, not just the face?

Yes. It is indicated for both face and body, and is also documented effective on stretch marks, hands, neck and décolletage.
