“Skin booster” is an umbrella term for hyaluronic acid-based products for injection into the skin. The products on this page differ in concentration, whether the hyaluronic acid is cross-linked, which layer they are injected into and which indication the manufacturer has documented.

According to the manufacturers’ instructions for use: Profhilo is intended for the treatment of the malar-zygomatic and submalar areas of the face, to redefine contours and remodel laxity. Dejale is intended to correct irregularities in the skin contour associated with ageing or degenerative changes. According to the instructions for use, the hyaluronic acid in Profhilo is produced without chemical modification, and Dejale contains non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. RRS HA Long Lasting contains BDDE-cross-linked hyaluronic acid in an amino acid buffer. For Restylane Vital, see the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
The instructions for use have their own restrictions. Profhilo must not be used at the same time as laser resurfacing or medium-depth skin peeling. Dejale must not be used in combination with laser treatment, chemical peeling or dermabrasion, and there are no clinical data for injection of Dejale into areas already treated with another filler product. The treatment plan is assessed by the treating physician.
According to the instructions for use, intradermal injection of Profhilo must only be performed by healthcare professionals, Dejale must only be used by physicians with specific training in the injection technique, and RRS HA Long Lasting may only be injected by a legally authorised physician in an approved clinic.
