What it is

RRS® HA Eyes is a sterile intradermal implant (class III, 93/42/EEC) from Skin Tech Pharma Group, Spain, with non-cross-linked, resorbable hyaluronic acid in a protective buffer that helps prolong the effect. Specially formulated for ageing skin around the eyes.

Composition

Sodium hyaluronate 7.5 mg and protective buffer 40.95 mg per 1.5 ml. The manufacturer states that the buffer contains organic silicon, antioxidants, flavonoids, saponins, polyphenols and peptides.

Indications and treatment areas

Photo-ageing and its consequences, or skin atrophy, especially around the eyes. Areas usually treated: around the eyes up to the temporal area; bags under the eyes, circles and dark circles.

Treatment protocol

  • Injection: superficial dermis with a 32G needle; simple multipuncture protocol with very small quantities per point, or mesotherapy gun.
  • Dosage: maximum 0.75 ml per side.
  • Practitioner: legally authorised physician in an authorised clinic only, under aseptic conditions. Traceability label in the patient record.

Expected results

Redness and local inflammation normally resolve within 12–24 hours; slight oedema or small bruises within 24–48 hours. Avoid extreme temperatures, sun/UV and make-up for 12 hours after treatment.
