Dermoaroma Peeling System: chemical hybrid peel for clinics

Dermoaroma Peeling System · Dermoaroma Italy, Rome

Chemical hybrid peel · five peels

Which peel suits which skin?

Radiance, Juvena, Restructa, Intima and Cell Renew share the same layering technique and the same pre- and post-treatment. The difference lies in the formulation. Here you can see what sets the peels apart, and how to choose the right chemical peel for the patient.

The technology

What makes Peeling System different?

Dermoaroma calls Peeling System a hybrid peel. The acids in a chemical peel have a low pH, and many actives break down in such an acidic environment. Dermoaroma solves this by encapsulating the actives, so that acids and actives can sit in the same vial. The manufacturer describes four differences from a traditional peel.3

Encapsulated actives

Retinol, resorcinol and peptides are protected inside liposomes, not loose in the acid.

Gradual release

The actives are released over time rather than all at once.

One system in three phases

Preparation at home, peeling in the clinic and aftercare belong together.

Depth as needed

Four peels with different profiles, and Cell Renew when the practitioner wants to go deeper.

Microencapsulation

How a liposome is built.

A liposome is a tiny sphere with a wall made of two layers of lipid molecules, the same type of building block found in cell membranes. This structure lets it carry both water-soluble and fat-soluble actives.3

  1. 1
    Water-loving heads

The outer and inner sides of the wall face water.

  2. 2
    Fat-soluble zone in the wall

Between the two layers sit fat-soluble actives, for example retinol.

  3. 3
    Aqueous core

Inside the sphere sit water-soluble actives, for example peptides.

According to the manufacturer, encapsulation protects the actives from degradation and oxidation, makes the formulation more stable and makes it possible to combine actives that would otherwise not work together.3

Gradual release

The matrix that holds the liposomes.

  1. 1
    Liposomes with actives

The liposomes are spread throughout the solution, with the actives protected inside.

  2. 2
    Cellulose-based matrix

A cellulose derivative binds the solution and holds the liposomes. It also gives the solution its viscous texture.

  3. 3
    Gradual release

The actives are released over time rather than all at once, according to the manufacturer.

The peels are interchangeable so the practitioner can tailor the treatment to the patient, and all five are CE-marked medical devices, class IIb.1,3

The range

Five peels in one system.

Radiance, Juvena and Restructa are the peels for the face, neck, décolleté and backs of the hands. Intima is designed for sensitive and intimate areas. Cell Renew is the strongest peel in the range. It can be used on its own, or mixed into Radiance, Juvena or Restructa from the second layer for greater depth, and it is included in the three sets. Every set therefore contains TCA.

Comparison

The differences between the peels, side by side.

The table is based on the ingredient lists in the instructions for use.2 All five are CE-marked medical devices with the same intended purpose: controlled surface exfoliation that helps even out skin tone and gives a more uniform skin.1

How to choose

Start with the skin, not the product.

Always take a thorough skin and patient history first. The choice of peel and number of layers is the practitioner’s clinical judgement.2

Radiance

When the goal is glow and a more even skin tone

The formulation has the most brightening ingredients of the facial peels. TCA depth is controlled with Cell Renew, which is included in the set.

Awarded Best Aesthetic Product & Device Integration, AMWC 2024.

Juvena

When the goal is skin quality and texture

The only one of Radiance, Juvena and Restructa with TCA in the peel itself, combined with retinol, PDRN, peptides and hyaluronic acid.

Contains both TCA and retinol. Assess the patient’s tolerance with extra care.

Restructa

When the skin is oily or restless

Four acids with no retinol, with DMAE tartrate and copper PCA. TCA depth is controlled with Cell Renew, which is included in the set.

An option when the patient should not have retinol in the treatment.

Intima

When the area is sensitive

Designed for the groin, underarms, elbows, knees, buttocks, areola and intimate areas. Low TCA concentration and four brightening ingredients.4

Applied layer by layer until the patient’s tolerance limit is reached.2

Cell Renew

When you want to go deepest

The strongest peel in the range, with TCA 35 %.3 Can be used on its own, or mixed into Radiance, Juvena or Restructa from the second layer for greater treatment depth.2 Included in the three sets.

The decision is made by the practitioner, based on the patient’s pain tolerance and clinical judgement.2

Protocol

Questions and answers

What clinics ask about chemical peels.

What makes Peeling System different from a regular chemical peel?

The actives are encapsulated in liposomes, so they can sit in the same acidic solution as the acids without breaking down, and they are released gradually, according to the manufacturer. The treatment is also built as one system with preparation at home, peeling in the clinic and aftercare.

Can Cell Renew be used on its own?

Yes. Cell Renew is the strongest peel in the range and can be used on its own. It can also be mixed into Radiance, Juvena or Restructa from the second layer when the practitioner wants to increase depth. It is not used in the Intima protocol.

Which peels contain TCA?

Every set contains TCA. Juvena, Intima and Cell Renew have TCA in the solution itself. Radiance and Restructa do not have it in the peel itself, but their sets include two vials of Cell Renew with TCA 35 %, which is mixed in from the second layer.

What does hybrid peel mean?

Dermoaroma uses the term for peels where the acids are combined with microencapsulated actives such as retinol, resorcinol and peptides. According to the manufacturer, the encapsulation protects the actives from the low pH and gives a gradual release.

Can I combine two peels in the same treatment?

The instructions for use describe one peel per treatment, optionally boosted with Cell Renew. Other combinations are not described.

Do I need Pre Peeling and Neutralizer?

Yes. Both are part of the protocol for every peel. They are sold separately and are included in the Peeling System starter kit.

Are the peels CE marked?

Yes. Radiance, Juvena, Restructa, Intima and Cell Renew are CE-marked medical devices, class IIb, with notified body 0425. Pre Peeling, Neutralizer, H8 Night Skin Serum and Exosomes Boost Serum are cosmetic products.

How many treatments are recommended?

The number of treatments and the contact time are decided by the practitioner based on the skin and the patient’s tolerance, in line with the instructions for use.

How should the products be stored?

Dry and protected from sunlight, at 2–25 °C. Shelf life is 24 months in unopened packaging. The vials are for single use.

Do you offer training?

Yes. BC Nordic offers practical training in Peeling System. Contact us to arrange it.
