Dejale and Ejal40 are both CE-marked hyaluronic acid gels for intradermal use. They have the same concentration and, according to their instructions for use (IFU), the same injection technique and treatment course. For practitioners who already know one of them, the other is easy to adopt.
What the two products share
- HA concentration: 40 mg per 2 ml (20 mg/ml), non-cross-linked, in physiological buffer.
- Molecular weight: 1.0–1.5 × 10⁶ Dalton (medium chain length), obtained by fermentation of Streptococcus equi.
- Not fillers: both are used for intradermal biorevitalisation, not for volume.
- In the box: one pre-filled 2 ml syringe and two sterile 30G ½″ needles.
- Users: reserved for physicians trained in injection technique (IFU).
Technique and protocol according to the IFU
- Technique: intradermal at mid-depth, using a linear technique or picotage, with the supplied 30G ½″ needle, injected slowly at room temperature.
- Skin: healthy, non-inflamed and disinfected, injected under aseptic conditions.
- Course: an initial course of three treatments one week apart, optionally followed by monthly maintenance treatments.
- Amount: depends on the wrinkle or depression to be corrected.
- Not combined with: laser treatment, chemical peeling or dermabrasion.
